It. Was. Amazing.

It. Was. Amazing.

Well, hello there. These last few weeks have been a whirlwind! Doesn't the end of the school year ALWAYS seem to be that way? In a just a few short weeks, my kids will be enjoying the quiet, easy going days of summer. Man, to be a kid again, right?

Back to this last month, it's been amazing and I have to share why. Iowa has had its share of rain showers--but I'm good with a few thunderstorms here and there. A couple Sundays ago, everyone cuddled up under a blanket & slept the afternoon away. It. Was. Amazing.

I waded in to the "market market" and attended my first vintage market as a vendor. We sold product, met tons of great people, got invited to some other future markets & have a large bulk order lingering in the future. I was telling someone recently how intimidating this whole process is. I mean, really, the goods on display and creations we made were out there for all to judge. Let's not forget the personal judgment as well {I'm sure I said some stupid stuff throughout the weekend & for that I apologize! ;)} But alas, we learned, we made some new friends and we got our name out there. It. Was. Amazing.

*BTW: another special thanks to family & friends who came out to market to support us. Ya'll rock!

My family is pretty cool. It's obvious that when mama goes to market, it's a family affair. We work full time jobs, we have practices & games, yet all other time was devoted to market. I'm so thankful to Ryan & the kids for not only helping but encouraging me. I had little movers and lifters and builders--& sellers even! Late one night I was laying in the dark with my youngest {yep, she STILL doesn't go to sleep without me} & I could hear the screw gun working tirelessly to make my booth structure. As I lay there I thought, "How lucky am I to have a guy out there tired and busting his rear to help me make my vision become a reality?" WHILE I'M LAYING IN BED NO LESS! So thanks, Ryan & kids, & even my FIL! I couldn't do it without you. Your support is the best. It. Was Amazing.

The Sunday after market, it was a mad dash to go watch some softball. Our oldest attended her first tourney on that Saturday and we missed her first game hit- A DOUBLE! So, Sunday we were ready to see her in action. The whole family was there on an absolutely beautiful day. We were able to enjoy each other with no real time commitments. Bonus, we were able to see our girl smack another. {Right there I had an AHA moment. My personal confidence/determination/attitude is a direct influence of my kid's confidence/determination/attitude. Talk about "duh". Maybe now it's more of a conscious effort to exude positive self worth around my kids. The team fought their way to the championship game and took home 2nd place & a trophy. It. Was. Amazing.

We love May Day! While I may put it off until last minute, we usually try to make some May Day baskets. This year, they may have been a little corny, perhaps. We loaded up in the car a few nights ago to begin our basket delivery to family. To switch it up a bit, we decided one kid would shoot out of the car, run to the door, leave the baskets & hop back in the car so we could take off and not be seen. The squeals and laughter in the car were PRICELESS! This one will definitely be one of those lifer memories for me. It. Was. Amazing.

Well, that's our month in a nutshell. This month we plan to continue to work on some goods & start posting & selling online! ;) Plus there's the garden I have yet to plant... Enjoy the sights and smells of spring y'all. Nothing like a little whiff of worked up field dirt and sunshine to make me happy. Isn't it amazing?!
