Happy Everything Day!
So, here's the deal:
I may have a Christmas tree still up. In my defense, it's one I bought after the season was over. You know the one, it was near the Joanna Gaines section and i had been googly-eyeing it all season in hopes they'd put it on sale. I suppose I'll 'ok' this tree's presence by calling it a winter tree at the point. *Umm, by the way, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!.
All of the other Christmas decorations are put away, however, and I've moved on to a mostly basic winter feeling around the house. (Side note: each day my chances are increasing of correctly writing 2018 instead of 2017.) As I've gotten older my decorating tastes have certainly changed. My heart used to skip a beat by the color I could fit into a room. Nowadays, I relish in the simplicity. (Maybe age, maybe the busy phase of our life.) Dare I admit, as soon as I get the decorations "up" it's time to take them "down"?
So bringing up the question here: What holidays do you decorate for? I'd love to hear. Do you go ALL in in EVERY room, (think cupid holding the TP for Valentine's Day) or just add some subtle little touches in your main room? Do you just stick to the main holidays or feel the need to celebrate every little thing (including the little groundhog)?
Leave a comment and let me know. I'm feeling the middle of the winter blahs and looking for some inspiro.
